Saw these ducks yesterday, but I was too far away and without binoculars - looks to me like either ruddy duck or bufflehead, thoughts from fellow birders? Boston area! 🪶🦆 #birding #bostonbirds #birdsky

There was a veritable smorgasbord of birds at my park today! Mergansers, cormorants, a hawk, a woodpecker, buffleheads, and of course the regulars: geese, mallards, and cardinals ❤️🪶🐦🦆 #birding #birdsky #bostonbirds

Today's bird is the common grackle who flew down into the grass next to me when I was walking through the park! Love the iridescent feather colouring 🤩🪶

I saw the much coveted (to me) male wood duck today! Before this I'd only seen the females, so I was super excited! 🦆🪶 Also pictured is a duck that was sleeping so I couldn't properly see it's markings but I think it might be a ring necked duck, and a Canadian goose. #birding #birdsky #bostonbirds

Transcription factor over expression prior to inducing the mouse model of MS resulted in sustained neuronal survival, axon integrity, and visual function!
February 11, 2025 at 6:02 PM
We found some similar changes in neurons from patients with MS, including enrichment of genes associated with senescence at the RNA level and DNA damage by immuno staining.
February 11, 2025 at 5:59 PM
We also found some protein level changes associated with cellular senescence in neurons from the mouse model of MS, including DNA damage 🧬
February 11, 2025 at 5:57 PM
First, we collected neurons from a mouse model of multiple sclerosis and found that their transcriptomes resembled naturally aged neurons. They also were enriched for genes associated with cellular senescence and aging.
