A programmer would focus on the result, being president, not just a single one of the multiple mechanisms that could lead to it.

I hesitated to post that,fearing it might give Trump ideas.

The Constitution's amendment merely says he cannot be *elected* to a third term as *president*.
He is free to run for Vice President, and then arrange to have the new president resign.
