I mean not saying Canada’s system is perfect. It still has a lot of room for improvement. I just still genuinely find it shocking that any modern society still has the death penalty or takes away rights like voting.

Canadian here. This post got me thinking — because I honestly don’t hear the word “felon” much at all.
From an outside pov it seems like some sort if lifelong branding in the US. Which can’t be good for recidivism.
Mind y’all also take a lot of rights away from prisoners which always throws me.

I went to a Comic Expo alone once. I just brought noise cancelling headphones, quietly browsed booths/artists alley and went to panels. It was pretty nice actually because I just did what I wanted and took time only for me. I’m now a huge advocate for going places alone. It’s shockingly pleasant.

After all - I’m not the one being attacked, and while I am more than happy to aggressively defend, I try to respect the wishes of those being targeted.
That being said. If someone is harassing everyone around them. They deserve to be harassed right back in my opinion. 2/3
