I like the negative space in number two. But I’m not a big fan of the serif-like points on the S. Maybe try coming to one shaper point/ending?

Agreed! Drop shadow doesn’t equal new and fancy. It should be more utilitarian than anything. Accessibility should always be at the forefront. This is bad.
