As a Newcastle fan I’ve been really impressed by the Ipswich manager. Clearly has his way of playing and stuck to it. But in last few weeks they’ve gone 3 at the back to make them a bit more solid. Clearly a great coach and hope they stay up.

I’m a big fan of Howe, but I don’t think last night told us anything new. We generally are always good in these games. The criticism comes when we play bottom half teams with a low block. That’s where improvement has to come.

Agreed. Still think the weird bit is the way they allowed a transfer to be dragged out so long. Surely walk away once Parish is on TV. It made us look amateurish. As does failure to offload, even on loan players like lewis and Hayden.
