The eye is often the easiest thing to spot when looking for picture stones

Although I look for an eye on a stone. I often see ears too. Snouts and mouths.
A stone will naturally sit to give you the desired perspective to see not only the picture side but also the ugly side.

I think the eye in this one is blown charcoal paint done long ago.

I picked this up as it was a different sort of rock and at first glance resembled a Sumerian carved rock.
I think it’s natural but it did draw my attention!!

Puddingstone example

I’ve shown this stone to half a dozen archaeologists and the tell me that these marks are from the plough.
This is one of hundreds of examples I have collected that lean towards rock art.
Nature is amazing.
This to me is a horse and rider with bow and sword.

I collect puddingstone. I can see it, even when driving!
Plenty in my area. I found 100 pieces, varying in size.
I believe they were used by local tribes for thousands of years as ceremonial tools and many are in the shape of handaxes.
