As he struggled with Long COVID, he became an advocate for more aggressive medical research & treatment development & for formal recognition of Long COVID as a disability.

Mormons care more about their own than almost every gay community org worldwide, many of whom use weak excuse that COVID precautions aren’t govt mandated. HIV education & MPox vaccination programs aren’t mandated either but those still occur.

It’s bizarre to me that people are planning holidays to USA while I & other people crowdfunded an Aussie’s return to Australia because as a trans person they were at high risk despite being US citizen.
People think I’m the 1 who’s gone down some weird rabbit hole.

I recently spent 3 weeks in Japan & of course went back to my favourite shopping centre @ginzasix.bsky.social
Wore N95 everywhere, tested daily, didn’t get infected.

I’m strong but self assurance is mostly a front. My anxiety makes me hyper aware, & I soothe anxiety by consuming information, preferring to confront bad news head on, even if it’s terrifying. According to Mum, I was most stubborn child that was ever born. #COVIDisntover #wearamask

The bottom comment is pertinent to 95% of gay community. When faced with drawing experience of AIDS pandemic, they whined that brunch was crucial for mental health & ignored everything they’d been told about COVID.
Maybe instead of wondering why they’re sick they could advocate for precautions?
