The fundamental purpose of LLMs is to produce Bullshit, as defined by Harry Frankfurt. It's honestly eerie how perfectly the concept he defined in the 80's applies to the technology.

Unfortunately not just Americans, our dumbass premier in Ontario just banned cities from using speed cameras because he's as car-brained as they come.

The Liberals won two elections after implementing the carbon tax, including one where it was a highly discussed issue!

Everyone who goes on about "law and order" and "personal responsibility" always means that for other people. In their minds there are intrinsically good people (IE them) who must have complete liberty and convenience, and intrinsically bad people ("criminals") who must be firmly controlled.

What's even worse about the hearing is, even accepting the issues as legit, Badiali is 1 in 1000. The issues are entirely from how popular they are because they're really good. They're basically saying, we cannot risk another Badiali opening, so no neighborhood retail for anyone else.

He started in single A! But he's getting post season bonus, which last year was over 300k per player for the winning team.

I have a theory, between these posts and the below comments, that he got some inside info that the Supreme Court case isn't looking good for him. Someone like Ginni Thomas is passing along the current mood and it's freaking him out.

Trump: "If this country is not allowed to have tariffs, if this country is not allowed to have the president negotiate on behalf of it w/tariffs, we are put in a position where we're gonna be a 3rd world country. We can't let that happen. I think it's the most important case that we are gonna have"

Not the main story but it's fascinating that literally every quote given to the reporter in this piece is an obvious lie. No one regrets anything, and no Republican is shocked or appalled by these chats, come on.

I've found the French are absolutely ruthless with Maps ratings of bakeries. If the croissant doesn't bring tears to your eyes it's 3 stars, at best.

Literally turned on the game right as this happened. Never had my anger level go from 0-100 that fast before.

It all feels of a piece with the recent Klein column. It's like they don't think these far right ideas are genuinely held by anyone, that it's all performance and no one would actually believe or act on them so they're not "dangerous"- compared to Gaza protests which clearly terrify people in power.

Or they don't really think "ideas" matter much at all. That it's all bullshit anyway, so why get all tangled up in what the logical implications of his statements were?

But also who cares if she was teaching Children's Literature? It's a university! Discussing how Children's Literature deals with gender is an extremely normal and valid thing!

As Harry Frankfurt might say, Trump is a bullshitter, Vance is a liar.

I just booked a high speed in France and I did have to pay €9 extra for large luggage. But also the total cost was €44 for the equivalent of Toronto->Montreal in 2h10m so can't really complain.

You know what caused the explosion in "wokeness"? Electing Trump the first time! Before that it was internet fringe stuff. Trump made all those ideas relevant to mainstream politics!
