I love figure 6.

One of the most fun papers (brief) I have read this year

www.cell.com/action/showP...

Cats prefer to sleep on their left side.
Also they sleep 12-16 hrs/day.

Showed Hydra 🐙, microfluidics, DIY micrsocopes, and other cool things to folks visiting the campus for the Day at the Beach event. Thankful to all students who volunteered their valuable time to make the day awesome.

This is about ~10 years old now.

UCI magazine (or one of them) interviewed Erik and I about building pneumatic digital microfluidics, when we were in @elliothui.bsky.social 's lab. 🥼🔬

Look at the all caps speech bubbles - why was I yelling about loving PDMS 📢🙉😹

Liverpool has had a great start of the season so far; credit to Arne Slot and the team.

But man I miss Kloppo.

As he said on first day:

"It is not what people think when you come in, it is much more important what people think when you leave"

Working on a new manuscript. And the following screenshot is in my fave photos folder. Editing my text today the chance of me having used the correct version has been a coin toss --- not good 😑

Happy international cat day !!

This comic is so true.

I wish I had seen it when I was much younger.

I dearly miss the prior cats in my life.

The illustrated version of Timothy Snyder 's "On Tyranny: 20 lessons from the 20th century" is a great gift and read.

I wish for more scholarly works organized like this effort.

I also recommend Prof Snyder's other work (bloodlands, and the road to unfreedom).

Folks from the lab presented their posters (AquaVert and Hydra in the box) at UC-wide bioengineering symposium at UCSD.
We can't wait to tell you about these projects (most likely AquaVert first)
Halle, Harithi, and Bryant will all start their graduate studies next fall. Really proud 😸
