It’s potatoes
Saw my mum for lunch today and came home with a bag full of frozen mince.
Last time it was three bags of frozen pork.
Bets on what it’ll be next week.

Was listening to Nan Things on Radio 1 this morning and I think we need a Hebridean Dad Things chat.
What’s your Hebridean Dad Thing?
My sister and I used to call phone calls from our dad “The Obituaries” because it was always the download on who on the island had died that month.

What’s the score with these devices people are putting in the cemetery that make horrendous noises? I’m guessing they’re meant to scare away animals but they’re making it genuinely unpleasant for me to visit my dad. Any recourse to get them banned at all?

The hardest part of running a paper in a rural area is, without a shadow of a doubt, dealing with crofting notices.
I’ve never sweat so much in my life.

Attending the NUJ webinar on AI and Ethics this evening and discussing the governments current consultation on AI and copyright. Not a great look for the future and if you produce any kind of content it’s worth responding to it and writing to your MP.

Taken almost 6 years ago on mine and Max’s wedding day with our lovely Merlin posing in his finest bow tie.
Sadly, we lost Merlin last week and our lives are that little bit duller than before.
The most wonderful big boy you could ask for and I only hope that wherever he is now he’s running again 💛
