I bought a heavy blanket for my husband but he wasn't comfortable with it so it went to the cat and she allows me to use it. The blanket itself is great, I have never had and even touched a heavy blanket before. Now the cat and I need a new pillow as our current one is six years old.

My road is bleak,
and it promises hard work and misery,
But sadness for the days past
Is like wine to me

Jam is stunning and he knows it. I love how he handles Uzbek weather, obviously due to his longer muzzle and rather wide nostrils. Even our summer temperatures seem to be bearable for him (of course we don't walk in the daytime). He hates cold though.

And this is a perfect, most beautiful autumnal patchwork blanket! Such luxury!
Some of the fabulous colours, textures and patterns I came across at Harcourt Arboretum when I visited there a couple of weeks ago, including tree bark, bracken ferns, leaves, fungi, and peacock plumage. #nature #photography #art

Autumn is gradually leaving, giving place to the winter, but the rosehip is still beautiful. My favorite time, my favorite colors.

Jam checking to see if any forced or child labor is taking place in our cotton fields. However, the inspection only revealed a dead magpie and nothing else, so the inspector was fully satisfied. That was one nice ripe dead bird, too; pity the owner didn't allow eating it.

Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer.

Unpleasant but useful.

My favorite version of Bei Mir Bist Du Shein. The Russian text is about an old lady who was stopped by road police for jaywalking. They tried extorting a bribe but she was a WWII vet and a sniper so she killed them all with her old Soviet automatic. Not the best message but absurd and hilarious.

Now, we have a new Krampus in store. He's a serious guy, I would bet on him against any intruders, but he's not house trained. See what you can make out of him; maybe he needs to be sent to some really naughty persons.

My daughter reports from Prague that she has difficulties sleeping - she's overloaded and stressed and needs help falling asleep. So I recorded a chapter from Tuve Jansson's "End of November". I almost fell asleep when reading and hope it helps. Me telling her stories when she was tiny worked well.
