Similar to the publics in some areas. Among nurses the perception I’ve heard more is we have a lot of responsibility with none of the power.

It could be that like with many things, the public consciousness/awareness/perception is behind the curve of the current reality.

Doctors helpers rather than autonomous practitioners with our own skill set and accountable for our practice
