Dude just doesn’t get it at all, does he? Literally the parasite calling hardworking people parasites. He’s a fucking joke. I hope he ends up with a negative bank account.

Great job this week. Cannot wait for the season finale but also am totally bummed that we won’t have more episodes for awhile. Y’all are doing a fantastic job. I’d kill to write for this show. 💪🔥🎯

arduous process in a modern society that pushes people into very dark & very lonely places. But, but, but ...when it turns out that shitty and/or abusive people are making the art that connects us in really important ways, what do we do?? (Serious replies only. All else will be deleted). (10/10)

flawed. As a creator myself, I have sided w/ art as much as possible. Great art is the best BS meter we have, the antimatter to injustice & yes, fascism, a burning beacon of light to the oppressed, the misbegotten & the unseen. We humans are hard-wired for connection which is at best an (9/10)

your experience w/their art, & not in a good way. And yet, isn’t art the whole point? Beauty, truth / truth, beauty & all that? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Here's what I do know: the reality is who we aspire to be as humans vs. who we are is often wider than the Grand Canyon. People are incredibly & indelibly (8/10)

I've spent part of my life being paid to write fiction & I don't know the answer, even as I, like most, acknowledge what a colossal mindfuck it is to try to separate the two worlds. Once disturbing details of an artist’s life are reveled, it’s disingenuous to deny that it doesn't color((7/10)

diminish the greatness of Guernica or make it less important as an unvarnished truth that war is truly & deeply hell? Does knowing about Munro's abject failure as a mother & her decision to stay w/her daughter’s abuser, mean the depth/poignancy of stories like 'Vandals' isn't also SO true? (6/10)

to build fictional worlds that are so real & authentic & relatable that it tells crucial truths about the human condition? Doesn't it take all kinds of people & experiences to make those connections believable? I mean is it even a dilemma? Does knowing that, say, Picasso was a wife beater, (5/10)

Especially if the behavior is abhorrent. We don't want to be seen as endorsing it. Can we allow compartmentalization? Should we? Don’t we always study great artists’ lives for clues to their greatness, their ability to make sense of the world & try to understand process? Like how they're able (4/10)

reject Picasso & Jackson Pollock & trans folks who refuse to read Harry Potter. The list of Bad People Who Create Great Art is long. How do we face this dilemma? I know we're not asking artists to be perfect humans but when they do step waaay the fuck over the line, how are we to react? (3/10)

We learned last year that the late Alice Munro, Nobel Laureate no less, appears to have sided with her partner even after she learned he sexually abused her youngest daughter when she was 9 yrs old. I grew up around Jews who wouldn't listen to Wagner or read T.S. Elliot. I know feminists who (2/10)

One thing that resonated for this one-time TV writer/producer (L&O, 24) -- that execs decide your fate & you never know why you didn't get the gig or the pickup. Triggered me a bit but I'm an optimist & expect my current project to go forward. Writers write :-). Watch Severance though. It's fire.

Natch, dude who started a company as a way to degrade women online laments the loss of "masculine energy" (not a thing). Read: what is happening to our white male privilege?? The 3 richest, most fortunate men in the WHOLE WORLD are crying crocodile tears about white male privilege. Gross.

I was thinking the same thing earlier. Wasn't FB started to "grade" girls at Harvard? And by "grade", it was degrading them. The more money he gets, the more he relies on the tone deafness that characterized his lusty youth. It's gross.

friendship. Nobody made me laugh more or as hard then or since. One of the last texts #TaylorNegron sent me the summer before he died. He was funny, yes but also brilliant & kind. Larger than life & so deep, a wellspring of creativity that drew people into his singular orbit. Miss him every day.

Turns out he was a well known actor/writer/comic & we'd been in the same circles but hadn't met. We bonded on that flight, more so when it glided into LaGuardia WAAAY too fast/low & we thought we were about to be footnotes to a plane crash story. It didn't. We weren't. But it birthed a great (2/3)
