Yeah I don't remember the exact reason but I think it had something to do with the OG system being a frankenstein's monster of graphics hardware made for sprites being converted for 3D gaming as well? It's part of the reason why the arcade ports were so nearly perfect for the time

I didnt personally own the full game but it was also on the demo disc I had lol the disc had Virtual On and a bunch trailers I would always go back to! I love the Saturn ❤️
