I unwillingly shut down the outdoor fountain for the season so relocated the camera near some birdbaths temporarily. I’ve learned from others a bit of habitat nearby makes a difference and the birds cooperated. Mourning Doves. 🕊️ #Maryland #birds🪶

Hopefully people located her from the opposite side of the fountain in the top LH corner. She’s a Northern “Yellow-shafted” Flicker who caught my eye & heart. I noticed her out a different window while the wildlife cam was rolling. Bonus Weather Channel soundtrack too! 🙊 Maryland #birds

After many weeks of no American Robin’s a feisty flock arrived in AA County, Maryland this morning. We’re abnormally dry so the bubbling fountain calls them in. They’re feasting on the ripe Winterberry & Holly berries. There’s a special lady guest in this video so see if you can find her? #birds 🪶

My fountain has been invaded by Yellow-rumped “Myrtle” Warblers aka “Butter Butts” along with American Goldfinches today! I inserted some flat stones creating shallow water & was immediately rewarded with bathing birds. #Fallbirdmigration is truly a magic time in AA County, Maryland. #birds 🪶

First Fall migrant Hermit Thrush arrived at my fountain in Anne Arundel County, Maryland on 10/17/25. She is perfect and quite the tail pumping Diva! Thankful she is providing a lesson & proudly checking all the ID boxes in this clip. Hoping she stays the season as others have in the past. #birds 🪶

I’ve been experimenting by augmenting my fountain with habitat. The branches added have created several close encounters during the #fallbirdmigration. Tonight’s star is one of two male Scarlet Tanagers plus a juvenile Northern Cardinal in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. #birds 🪶

It’s been a Red-eyed Vireo Sunday in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. I counted at least 5 in my yard & Merlin also picked up a Cape May Warbler, Warbling Vireo along with a Bobolink! Really appreciate when the birds are so cooperative they fly into the frame! #birds 🪶

Interesting to observe this Monarch caterpillar methodically reducing this leaf while life beyond proceeds unaware. 🐛🦋🪶🌿

The Maryland Ruby-throated Hummingbirds seem to enjoy having chilled nectar from placing ice in the ant moats of their feeder on these hot summer days. 🪶
