The text reads: "Paul Trainor, Ph.D., is an Investigator at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research and an adjunct Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Trainor is a leader in the fields of craniofacial and developmental biology and studies the cellular, genetic and biochemical programs that cause rare congenital disorders, particularly those of neural crest cell origin. The long-term goals of Dr. Trainor and his team are to uncover the etiology and pathogenesis of birth defects and develop therapeutic avenues for their prevention. The Henry Gray Scientific Achievement Award is a tremendous honor for Dr. Trainor, especially coming from the American Association for Anatomy, which he has been so closely associated with for over 15 years. The award is also a reflection and recognition of the incredible mentors, past and present lab members, and collaborators that Dr. Trainor has been so privileged and lucky to work with throughout his career."
