I don't know if it's already been investigated but a prefabricated structure bolted to the side of the existing bridge could be done quicker, something like the Liffey boardwalk. There seems to be space on the bridge supports.

You've got to assume they've already been testing it in parallel. The reason it was delayed was because they were tweaking the system.

They don't offer any protection, but in traffic like the picture, if that line wasn't painted half those cars would be queuing hard up against the kerb. So they do create some space.

I had that book. The Beatles broke up before I was born and no matter how old I am, they still broke up before I was born.

We have that in some places, but a lot of streets don't have parking, or the parking has been removed for the cycle lane.
