check out agechecker.net

This is a third-party age verification tool which works similar to MFA login tools like Okta. The service has robust privacy walls in place, the only data that passes between AgeChecker and the client web site is the request to validate age and the validation token.

10/10, would suck

What color do we use for the 80 million Americans who voted “no” to both parties this year?
December 15, 2024 at 1:53 PM
That is just incredibly sexy.

This is so sexy.

Okay. That's fine. My point was only that you originally post strongly implied that litigation is the ONLY way regulations are motivated to be written.

I was pointing out that sometimes they are, in fact, written with no need of litigation.
January 28, 2024 at 5:15 AM
No, I am giving a counter point to your obvious implication that laws "written in blood" are actually only written in lawsuits.

They are, in fact, quite often written in blood.
January 27, 2024 at 10:34 PM
Well, no. They are also occasionally written because people actually died.

Or because people killed. Go look for "Battle of Blair Mountain" in your history book.

Can you burn a Luigi board?

In the long run, AI art will raise the value of human-created art, in the same way that "hand-crafted" goods are valued more highly than manufactured. This will be a GOOD thing for the art community, not a bad thing.
November 16, 2023 at 3:49 PM
More people need to see this re. AI art.

AI artwork is not going to "replace" human-created art.
People who choose to 'commission' AI art instead of human art will mostly not be 'taking away' from human artist incomes, they'll be people who can't afford a human artist in the first place.

John Kellogg and his political allies did an amazing amount of damage to America, and now that Americans are the dominant presence on the internet, we're exporting that bullshit to everyone.
November 16, 2023 at 3:40 PM
I find myself in full agreement. It's entertaining, but only in a "Michael Bay Transformers, it's something to watch" kind of way.

The Sequels, however, simply didn't bother showing any progression. Ep 7 started off with massive changes regarding each character, the political structures of the galaxy, and the Force Itself having happened off screen for the sake of allowing the story Disney wanted to happen to happen.
November 13, 2023 at 7:09 PM
IMO, the Sequels had a set of issues which were entirely different from the Prequels.
The Prequels had issues with how Anakin's character development was presented. It felt very jarring from one scene to the next at times, his progression towards Sith felt very forced.
November 13, 2023 at 7:08 PM
The Disney trilogy came of a desire to recapture the magic of the 1977 release, without understand any of how it worked, and instead decided "we'll just tell the exact same story with different people, but we won't bother actually setting it up first."
November 13, 2023 at 7:02 PM
The empire? came back, off-screen. The deathstar? built a new one, off-screen. It also fires self-hyperjumping plasma torpedoes now, also invented off-screen.
November 13, 2023 at 7:01 PM
"This is a reboot without being a reboot". - Ep. 7 throws away EVERYTHING accomplished across Eps 4-6. New Republic? killed offscreen. Luke? turned into a bitch offscreen. Han and Chewie? Brokeup AND LOST THE FALCON off screen. Kylo Ren? More powerful than Darth Vader, offscreen.
November 13, 2023 at 6:58 PM
rise of the Emperor and the Empire, and therefore the fall of the Jedi and the Republic. It was never going to leave the audience in a good place.

The sequel trilogy didn't have that to overcome. The sequel trilogy's failures are 100% self-inflicted, with the biggest being 2/3
November 13, 2023 at 6:56 PM
Youtube has been throwing a bunch of breakdown videos on this topic my way - and this one i think does the best job of explaining most of what is wrong with the sequel trilogy: www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2Bo...

The Prequel trilogy was always going to have detractors. Its job was to show the 1/2

Have you ever met the average person? You're basically describing how most actual humans process new information.
November 11, 2023 at 4:20 AM
I thought it was worth it at full price. But I also never experienced the bugs that bothered other people.
