Both areas have large working class communities, have some of the most deprived areas in the country, have a high projected reform vote share etc, yet different responses.

Its also a little funny because in one isolated experience only, we have the whole flags on bridges and lampposts atm in the UK. In the NE, a working class but hugely white majority area, these flags were limited. In the NW, a more diverse area there were far far more.

There was a straight up battle over segregation in a pub. The black US service members were supported by the locals vs the white MPs.

The TUP system docking head can be seen quite clearly in that image. You have the DRC that docks the vehicle once it's unlatched from the stabilising unit and then carries it on rails to the docking head.
