No i think the “elon boys” are actually right here. Nobody is really asking for some huge trade since most know thats not available. Fans are looking for this roster to be improved at the deadline and compete to actually show trade targets that it might be worth coming to the Warriors next year.

All we’ve seen over and over is Lacob and the FO consistently over valuing their assets. They’ve backed out of chances to trade Podz, Kuminga, and Wiseman because of this on various occasions. In a sense they’re also over valuing their picks since they’ve shown they really cant draft or develop.

The flaw in your “assets should be saved for something much bigger down the road” is that they had those assets this summer for a markkanen trade and did nothing with them. Lacob and the FO have shown that even when there is a great trade available to them theyre too prideful to slightly overpay.
