I’m sure the point, along with creating friction, is to create another database of what people are working on. They clearly need data they can throw algorithms at looking for keywords they target to fire more staff.

Working at Babbages, & later EB as a high school & college student was amazing. Borrowing software to take home, shrink wrapping it, & returning it to stock was allowed & encouraged. I was in heaven.
