you stream on the occasion? never knew this

they should be really. a lot of carriers don’t care about adding eSIM until they say ‘hey we’ve got an event coming up soon and you’ll need to support eSIM’

this happened with SMARTY just this yea. years of ‘we’re figuring out how’ and they conveniently got it done a week before the event

I don’t think any MVNOs support eSIM yet
September 10, 2025 at 10:28 AM

that’s just Bluesky because of how many of the positions previously covered now have water, which appears blue, from a satellite pov
September 4, 2025 at 9:56 PM
I don’t even think you can disable it on the web on mobile? Like at least you get to pick an audio track in the app

whoever knows. I don’t exactly know what a DID or a PLC is
July 25, 2025 at 2:05 PM
might be wrong - as far as i'm aware that's how it works with TON but i haven't looked loads into ethereum
July 25, 2025 at 12:18 AM
So naturally it’ll still use more power than, like, Visa. but it’s still not loads, and your average medium-sized tech company will probably go way over since it’s basically just running some servers
July 24, 2025 at 11:13 PM
but it’s *validation*. you’re just running calculations and then signing the result of them to say ‘yeah I attest that I did them right’

The proof comes from your financial incentive not to lie, not from the fact that you had the most ASICs and energy
July 24, 2025 at 11:12 PM
there’s still incentive to use a level of power. because on these kinds of chains if you don’t reliably keep your validator up — which effectively means having many layers of redundancy — you can get slashed just for not participating as much as you should
July 24, 2025 at 11:11 PM
This has been solved for a while anyway. When you use Ethereum, TON, etc, these are proof of stake networks that don't involve using loads of energy to mine
July 24, 2025 at 9:01 PM
there's a way to do crypto well and nobody is doing it because it's cheaper and easier to sell jpegs. so until that happens
