One thing that changed me forever is the realization "anyone can draw". I used to think you had to be special to make art. I'd doodle stuff but never thought it was possible for me to get better. Talent is often thrown around towards artists when actually its hard work and commitment to the craft

i stg the hack to getting a sketchbook with nothing but bangers is to not use the first or last page. i tried using the last page to fix it but years of manga got me reflexively starting over there once i do so it doesnt do anything. start in the middle. all the pressures off. it WORKS
