@shastingssimon.bsky.social (or @drkatemarvel.bsky.social ) do you have recs for folks to talk to/problems to study re: experimental side? I've been finding (very interesting!) quantitative problems like DER impact modeling, but I prefer physical/hands-on lab work to computational if possible...

What problems in climate and energy might you recommend looking into for someone who does PhD research in _experimental_ quantum (AMO/condensed matter) but is looking to work on problems more related to climate transition? Trying to understand where my background could add value (if anywhere?)
