Been wanting to get to the original mural for ages. If you don't know the meaning of this two word phrase then there's some homework for you to do.

For those who haven't seen the other photo:

Not many of these 1960s/70s "Y" street name sign supports left in Blackburn now.

And here's your proof. That ped crossing is a supposed protected green - people *will* get killed here one day.

If I stare at this for the rest of the afternoon will it make me forget I'm in the wet and cold North West?

Another example of where I've managed to get almost the same photo about 15 years apart. Potato to camera evolution shown again...

"You weren't really a roadgeek when you were a small child were you?"

Erm...

If nothing else, this merely shows how much digital cameras have evolved in 20 years...

Are there many street names that rack up more than FIVE words?

As also done on Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere:

I used the magic of MS Paint and have fixed the front of my god awful BLOO passport that Boris Johnson lovingly died in a ditch to get me.

The same road almost a year apart.

Could this be any more Welsh?

Never worked out why Astley Hall qualified as a replacement for this sign when Camelot shut down.

Someone helpfully crashed into the sign here, taking out Botany Bay with it. The replacement is a bit on the small side, don't you think and obviously nobody thought to remove the redundant post...

A shame to lose the increasingly rare 1960s era street name plates from the city centre but I suppose such is progress.

I'd have probably done this:

For some reason the M60 is now signposted in Preston city centre which is a bit unusual considering you don't even get it mentioned on the M61 until beyond Walkden.

The sign should also be white here, as it's on a side street and not a primary route let alone the A6.

Hand drawn chopsticks gone awry it seems.

So what *actually* has been achieved by removing motorway regulations and the hard shoulder?

Long overdue maintenance, but other than to slap houses along it there was no reason for losing the blue signs. You still can't cycle or walk along here legally.

NH still haven't touched the signs on M6.

Stupid potato cam but here's the only example I've ever seen of a "slow lorries" sign using the 1964 HGV pictogram.

Thankfully the GSV image of it is better.

Now this is a gantry sign!

When Tottenham Court Road was seen as a major radial route northwards, presumably begging for the Camden Town Bypass to connect to Ringway 1 with...
