Her song is just droning and does not provide any concrete feminist answers to anything. It’s just kvetching. And there are many other feminist songs that deal with issues head on and don’t make you feel worse after. Labour is not a rallying cry. It’s just blah.

Sidenote, I actually have not read the handmaids tale, and I’m not sure if I ever will because of the series and Elizabeth Moss’s whole vibe. I feel like I’m probably better off learning about and from women in the global south rather than read about a fictional dystopia
