I can only recommend checking out Howth (close to dublin) You can use the DART(electric rail system) to go there or better yet book a ticket on the Dublin Bay Cruises and go via ship from Dublin to Howth(it is a beatiful trip!). Also try out the fish and chips there at leo burdock.
