Im sorry but this is such a lame cop-out. If this is true, why let the govement shut down at all knowing Ds always give in? Why let it go on for 40 days and have NOTHING to show for it? WHAT WAS THE POINT TO BEGIN WITH THEN?

Just wanted to add my two cents as a nobody on the internet, but also as a lifelong gamer who loves gaming to death.

Game development is complicated, but games should also be adequately preserved.

Let's figure out a way forward, together.

Miscommunications were made, executions were flawed, and hot takes were had, but in the end...

We all love video games,
and,
Games dying is usually a bad thing.

Agree to disagree if you must, but let's learn from this experience and work together to make the Stop Killing Games movement a reality.

As for who is to blame, honestly, there's probably at least a little on both sides. Maybe more on one side than the other.

However, if we both agree on points 1 and 2, then let's move forward and discuss how the Stop Killing Games movement can be run even better together as we proceed.

However, I honestly think all of this drama came from miscommunication and misunderstanding.

I think we can all agree on 1 and 2 being true.

But, the real issue (I BELIEVE) lies in how Stop Killing Games was executed and how some initially received/reacted to it.

Side note: I’m all for giving devs the time they need to cook. But like, why do all those hype-up things for just a release date trailer? Y’all got some people really excited thinking it would be something more than just a new countdown lol, myself included. 😭
