Donald Trump is a birthright citizen. He was born on June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York City, making him a U.S. citizen under the 14th Amendment. The amendment grants citizenship to all individuals born on U.S. soil, regardless of the citizenship of their parents, provided they are not foreign diplomats or otherwise exempt under specific legal conditions. Trump's mother, Mary Anne MacLeod, was a Scottish immigrant who became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1942. His father, Fred Trump born in New York; was a U.S. citizen. Banning Automatic Citizenship by Birth: Children born in the U.S. to non-citizen parents, including undocumented immigrants, LEGAL RESIDENTS, or temporary visitors, would no longer automatically acquire U.S. citizenship. If this bill was passed in 1945 the president wouldn't be considered a birthright US Citizen. AND wouldn't even be allowed to run for office. He'd literally ban himself. So of course It's not retroactive.... Either everyone that is a citizen stays one, or The president would no longer be a citizen under his own law! This is a joke at this point.
