A few tips for ppl having to update their work databases post-reshuffle....

1 - Read the article below
2- Visit the Cinema Museum's website
3 - Buy tickets to the showing of "My Beautiful Laundrette" and one of 3 remaining tickets for the walking tour on Tuesday 7 October!
Lovely piece by @leilalatif.bsky.social on Hyphen today about the restoration of My Beautiful Laundrette – a film I last saw on VHS. As a kid who grew up obsessed with the 1980s and London, I remember it seeming somehow both timeless and very of its time.

Is it possible to understand that the world of work has changed but to also worry about the loss of things like intergenerational friendships at work? I'm probably five years behind everyone else aren't I?

Basement Jaxx is incredible. To think that they started in pubs in Brixton is wild to me. I love South London and my borough so much.

The thing about The Salt Path and the CBD diagnosis is that anyone with a chronic illness knows someone who is always hoping for some sort of miracle cure for them. They read the stories, they watch the vids on YouTube and even though they know it's probably not true, there is always a *what if*.
