Shouting into the void

Where do I go from here, and how do I find it in me to keep pushing passed the feeling my body shivers through? It is steel, it is cold, I have goosebumps and no strength. Even expressing in words used to come with an understanding and joy. Now I am imprisoned by what I cannot express

Where does time go once it is spent? I am gripping things I have accepted as truth for so long in order to survive, and I am dying. I am not living.

I peer around the corner of this thought and its accompanying feelings, and see it stretch forever into the future. Illusion or not, it is loneliness and mistrust in my own ability to take control. I used to have such vigor and passion for life...but I don't see it around this corner.

The current state of things

Hearing train horns was so normal growing up. I've only recently been reintroduced to living near a port again and am having this realization; "it's been a while since this was a part of the ambiance"
