Started with the NES, my cousin got one for Christmas with Super Mario Bros and it instantly changed my life. I think I had to wait a full year (maybe two) before I got one for Christmas with SMB/DH and Tengen’s Pacman.

I don’t think Guitar Hero was that impactful on the wider music culture but if anything it slowed rock’s decline a tiny bit.

I think the insinuation is that he wasn’t really paying attention to the kids. I have a toddler and a baby and it’s not really possible to pay attention to much else when they’re both awake if I’m parenting solo.
