Our YES referendum was doomed from the start due to wishy-washy advertising, not enough clear and concise reasoning and pushback from some Indigenous groups which just confused the country even more. I would suggest most people wanted to vote YES but they voted no out of caution.

I still can't believe it either! I fear too many people voted no because they had no idea what they were voting for. A referendum should be a clear cut choice - and the rhetoric and communication from both sides was meant to confuse, not empower people to make the correct choice.

It still amazes me to this day that we have to type with that little apple remote.
