Though Trump’s pardons can’t extend to state crimes, I think it’s worth pointing out the message being conveyed:
Trump’s allies are alleged to have stolen data from state voting systems in an effort to help him overturn an election he lost.
Now he’s pardoning them for it.

News coverage of this has focused on the pardon of those involved in the fake electors plot.
But the pardon also extends to key figures who participated in the unauthorized breach of voting systems in Coffee County, Georgia
My reporting on the breach: www.lawfaremedia.org/article/what...

Because Republicans want us to be indentured servants for healthcare. ACA actually lets people choose how to live. Entrepreneur, small business, retire early? You need ACA.

Imagine a parallel-universe US with a ~$20 trillion public wealth fund, built from the profits that O&G owners/executives/major shareholders took in our universe. Imagine how much better US health care, education, infrastructure, childcare, retirement support, etc. could be. Breaks the brain a bit.
(Norway's oil fund is about $2 trillion [about $350k per person], built from oil reserves and past production that are about 10x smaller than America's. Which puts the hypothetical US oil fund in a parallel universe at $20 trillion or so, very roughly.)

At least that way we are all in the same boat and the government can't discriminate. Right now ACA is the little guy, he can be ignored. Medicare is sacred but Medicaid can be cut to pieces. Getting your insurance thru your job is supposed to be the "norm". It's patchwork.

I'm just going to bet that Congress gets things worked out so they can get home for their next vacation. End of next week?

Yep. If you can swing it and want to build equity quickly, look at a 15 or 20 year loan, you pay a little more but you arent just paying interest the first few years.

However, if we can get 50yrs with 0% interest, because, you know, the government wants us to be homeowners. Now we're talking.
