interesting, I have not seen that yet, but that makes sense. I’ve found the technical details on these units to be fairly scarce, which makes diagnostics much more difficult. Have you come across any useful resources for the penman?

Yes, the Penman. Long ago I had issues with larger prints with it. I’ve always suspected the issue is with the rs232 handshaking lines causing the computer to send too much data to the Penman. I hope to sort this out and solve it, I’ve loved the idea of these plotters since I first saw them
