Green card holder and Texas A&M PhD student who has been in the US *since he was 5* has been detained for a week so far, probably bc of a 2011 minor marijuana possession charge.

We need to talk about how AI (and media coverage of it) is distorting definitions of "friendship". These stories about AI friendships seem to define it as something unidirectional and self-centered, without attention to *mutual* connection and support.

AI may be your friend, but are you its?
