I think we’ve begun to more appreciate how our buying impacts our selling. That being said, I’m a bit confused how we haven’t been able to shift someone like Sambi the last couple of windows. Still young, presumably not on massive wages, but still here despite not being in the plans for a while now

Absolutely this! If the game makes a shit load of money I’d rather it goes to the players than the execs. Probably one of few industries where the workers are being paid more than the CEO.

I’m just so disappointed with Noni being the only non-striker (which was essential anyway) attacking signing. Especially considering we kind of rationalised the signing of Gyokeres over Sesko/Isak as the club saving money to spend elsewhere in the attack.

I really don’t like it. If he wanted more money he could move on. If nobody else would pay what he’s asking - what should that tell him? Makes absolutely zero sense to me. As you’ve said many times - a contract shouldn’t be to reward past performance

I enjoyed it too! I’m probably on the whiskers end of the spectrum with you (STOP Eze going to Spurs also!), but I also agree with Clive/Paul in that - we won, let’s get this initial slog over with. I’d rather beat them than outplay them. Cheers lads!
