And if you just want a great bar, I would make a case for Bar on Buena in Uptown. There’s really good Thai in Uptown at Siam Noodle & Rice. And wonderful dim sum at Ming Hin, but you gotta go to their Chinatown location.

Greek Islands is a classic, and tasty, too. Xoco for lunch. Bar Avec and Ema are nice in River North. The Kitchen (on Clark at the river) is underrated; they went through a bad year, but are back at their game, which is really good. . . .
