I literally work in the food industry. We use metric for basically everything from chemicals to liters of oil and water. We only convert to pounds for weight for ordering some of our materials and we use F for temp. Otherwise it’s mostly metric now

Last I checked I thought pretty much all of our industries used metric except for things like tsp, tbsp, and cups? I prefer metric system for about everything except temp cause Fahrenheit just makes more sense on a “how does x number feel?” Kinda level

Honestly I feel that. I started to make lists and checking/crossing stuff out on them. The sooner I realized I was “accomplishing” things that were just everyday, it genuinely helped me strive for more success and just doing more in general

That’s not to say that people are wrong for having big feelings about this! I understand the stress and anxiety this is bringing to people worldwide and in the US, but wallowing in despair won’t fix things and is ultimately what they want. We should audit and use checks and balances while we can

Honestly I wouldn’t be so sure. This year had “record voter turnout numbers” yet the numbers didn’t match 2020s (as in 2020 had more) so something is up. Plus, mail in ballots don’t get counted until Nov 5th and after. That’s why a winner hasn’t officially been called in an address yet

I will say that there was a recount in 2020 when things smelled fishy, so considering the Russian bomb threat calls and other voter suppression tactics as seen in Florida and Georgia, I’d imagine there’ll be another recount. My fear would be if there’s a tie and it goes to senate
