But yeah, it's just an idea. Right now, I'm in school so that's my priority with other projects also lined up. Some of them may require XCM but we'll see. It's one of those iterative process things. And the name "XCM" comes from SDL if you move from each character down, getting XCM.

And it wouldn't be just graphics, audio, and networking but whatever else that may be desired, such as a GUI framework, a spooler (printing), UTF-8 handling, etc. Pretty much treat SDL/XCM as a cross-platform OS API, like a modern Win32 but better in every way.

I don't have anything to show beyond a logo and a concept, but it's been buzzing around my head for a few months now. And I'm not announcing anything. But it is an idea I'd love to work on over the years. I'd license it under Zlib, just like SDL, and like I said it would depend on SDL too.

However, what if there was a library that could do that? Something that, while less portable, would work on an admittingly smaller subset but offer more features and work directly within the SDL ecosystem?

But there are a few things that are missing from the library, such as a powerful graphics API that sits on top of Vulkan, DirectX, and Metal, a more robust mixer, and more advanced networking. I wouldn't want these things, among others, to become a part of SDL due to feature bloat.

The emblem is meant to symbolize two things: freedom and abstraction. An abstraction of wings and/or flight.

Made in Inkscape.

I want to build off of what others have said. The idea is to build credit with money you already have. Only use the credit card on things like gas or groceries, then pay *next* month instead of immediately. This counts as activity.

I could be wrong about not paying immediately but plz ask a bank.

If you don't mind my asking, what are the things you don't like about Seattle? Is it just Seattle or Washington state as a whole? I ask because, if I can in the future, I'd like to move to Washington state (not necessarily Seattle) away from the South where I've lived all my life.
