Looking from outside Britain, I have been surprised at how I’ll prepared for governing Labour have been since the election. Now it is shocking how little confidence they have in their own agenda that they feel they have to outflank the extreme right. Bizarre and very troubling.

This is an important point that has not been highlighted enough over the last few weeks. Services are easier to substitute than relocating factories. The international corporate and consumer backlash against US service companies is already quietly happening.
