I'm not arguing the content of the pledge. Although I don't care for the "under God " part being that I'm an atheist. To me, it comes off more as Nationalism being forced to recite it everyday, as opposed to Patriotism. If you don't think so, that's okay.

Thinking reciting the pledge every day like brain washed droids doesn't mean you hate America. I would argue it means you love it enough to reflect on how we might change for the better. Just my opinion. As I tell my kids, just because you think it doesn't mean it's what everyone has to think.

I hear you. I'm an educator in a second grade classroom. The stupidity of having to say the pledge every single morning is not lost on me.

If what Pete is saying is true (it's not), then he should not have this man's back. He should be questioning why his top military official doesn't understand that this was illegal and took it upon himself to take a second shot.
