It's definitely not beautiful, but still extremely popular with tourists. The city is hollowed, cultural spaces out in favour of aparthotels and the like. The Tivoli redevelopment a perfect example. There was a attempt to do the same to the Cobblestone

A problem experienced in pretty much all European cities popular with tourists. Self catering accommodation has taken up all allocation so nothing left for locals. I was in Berlin about 10 years ago and an old fella in the bar told me 'Tourists are terrorists' and he wasn't that far off
