2020 marked a shift among grifters and corporations toward #homeschooling. Every single one has a vested interest in telling people that homeschooling is totally easy and simple and fun and low-effort.

Homeschooling well is hard. Anyone who says differently is selling something.

Kids aren't guaranteed to get "picked on" every single time they engage with peers. My child also plays for hours with this level of "chill" and is rarely ever picked on. It's happened once in 3 years and he's forgotten it.

You know what this child WILL remember? Crushing loneliness.

And it's not that the other parent is failing-- it's her daughter's fault for not "grasping" it. Mom feels "so much pressure"-- good!! You should!! Until you teach your daughter to read you haven't taught her anything!! You are woefully inadequate and should be ashamed of yourself!

And the comments. UGH. Parents getting validation from this bullshit-- and blaming THEIR failure on their kids! He gets "frustrated" when she "asks him to work"-- not work with him, not sit down with him, not TEACH him. Just ask him to TEACH HIMSELF TO READ.

This also falls into another #HomeschoolMom delusion-- that it's only by homeschooling that children can learn "life skills," as if it's impossible for parents to still teach their kids this stuff if they go to public school. It's ridiculous.
