Today, Trouble came over next to my chair and bounced his front feet up and down.
I scooted out from my desk after a moment -- thinking about checking his food and water -- and he leapt into my lap, climbed onto my shoulder, and curled up there for over 30 minutes.
He's a 27 pound dog.
