Perhaps it was a little naive of me and everyone else on the team to think about the art before the fandom, but I also think we need to stop normalizing this behavior and giving scapegoats to the people doing these things.

Filming on location is not a new unheard of concept in media production. We followed all the rules, rotoing out street names/address numbers, not including people/cars. It was meant to be photoreal, and the simplest, most in-scope way to do that was to film it.
