The debut novel, Like Water For Chocolate by Mexican novelist and screenwriter Laura Esquivel, first published in 1989. In 1992 Mexican romantic drama film in the style of magical realism based on the novel. Fast forward to 2022, ballet adaptation with choreography by Christopher Wheeldon.
