#Swordtember2025 day 29: Autumn

This year I can say that i've practiced with lighting and shading alot more than I normaly do, as well as drawing a few more creatures instead of drawing purely human characters. and i've improved a little more with drawing backgrounds too!

1 day left.

#Swordtember2025 day 28: Summer

One thing I wish I did was lean more into the fantasy theme of Swordtember, i've kinda deviated from that on some of these pictures, in fact i've stuck with the fantasy theme better with my Darks Souls themed month, Still love how these pictures turned out!

#Swordtember2025 Day 27: Spring

It's been alot of fun doing swordtember this year, normaly i do this in october but I wanted to try in september for a change, this will give me plenty of time to enjoy october for once compared to the previous years (even though they were a blast to do)

#Swordtember2025 Day 26: Harpy

Harpies are human/bird hybrids that are depicted in many different ways, their torso are either human or bird, the wings either replace the arms or are on the back but the legs are usualy bird.

They also are capable of making people sleep with their voices.

#Swordtember2025 day 25: Bubble

I wasnt sure what to do for bubble, but after I finished the picture i realised i could have used a crab instead of making up a bubble frog... ah well! i still like how this pic came out!

only 5 pictures left of Swordtember, nearly there!

#Swordtember2025 day 24: Venom

Remember the differences between poison and Venom

Poison is from eating, breathing or absorbing something through your skin

Venom is Injected by fangs, stinger from some other puncture that pumps the toxin into you

Poison is from toxic contact / Venom is from bites

#Swordtember day 23: Owl

Owls are facinating birds, they can turn their heads 270 degrees either way, they sleep through the day and most impressively they fly making next to no sound!
This is actualy so they can listen for their prey during flight with their remarkable hearing!
September 23, 2025 at 12:41 PM
#Swordtember2025 Day 22: Swan

Swans are pretty amazing birds, they mate for life and will not find another partner if something happens to their current one.

They can also be quite vicious too so be careful not to get too close otherwise you'll really upset them.

#Swordtember2025 Day 21: Ring

Sometimes i've seen these giant ring shaped blades and I wonder how exactly they are used, I remember seeing them in Dynasty Warriors but i cant remember how they used it. still a interesting looking weapon though!

#Swordtember day 20: Vapor

I think i've been having too much fun connecting some of the prompts with each other, this time i might have gone a bit overboard but still i like how it came out!

2/3rds of the way there! honestly i've had alot of fun this art challenge! i'll probably do this next year!

#Swordtember2025 Day 19: Membrane

im not sure what it is that keeps slimes keep somewhat solid, but they do seem to be able to keep their shape and trap things in their bodies, im guessing there's some sort of membrane around them?

Be careful when handling them, they can be hard to wash off...

#Swordtember2025 day 18: Beetle

Beetles are pretty cool bugs, they also seem to be extremely popular in Japan.
They also come in many different variations (Rhino, Stag, Atlas, etc) Rhino beetles only weapon is their horns which they use to fight other beetles, they are otherwise harmless to humans.

#Swordtember2025 day 17: Gem

Gems in fantasy settings are often either enchanted or contain an unknown amount of power (or they are just really valuable)
Sometimes they are the source of an antagonist's power, once they lose the gem then things will fall apart for them very quickly.

#Swordtember2025 day 16: Carved

it's handy to keep a small knife for different reasons like carving signs on trees to keep track of where you are or have been, or carving other tools out of wood.
September 16, 2025 at 12:21 PM
#Swordtember2025 day 15: Lace

Remember when I said that the most dangerous weapon is the one you cant see? well you can lace a weapon with poison (or something else) to make them that much more deadly!

course you have to handle with care, one little cut and that poison is now in you!
September 15, 2025 at 5:56 PM
#Swordtember2025 day 14: Rot

Rot can be pretty scary, even the most powerful creatures are susceptible to rotting.

Usualy rot happens to things reaching the end of their life span but it can happen to things that are still pretty healthy via disease, one example i can think of is the Scarlet rot!

#Swordtember2025 day 13: Bloom

Ok yeah I got nothing on this one, I was not sure what else to draw asides from a giant flower.
September 13, 2025 at 1:20 PM
#Swordtember2025 day 12: Concealed

the thing you have to be the most careful of are the things you cant see. things being stolen is an example.

Concealing a dagger or something alike pretty much makes it the most dangerous weapon, how can you protect yourself from it if you dont know what it is.

#Swordtember2025 day 11: Reliquary

It's funny, I never once payed any atention to the reliquary and focused more on what it was holding instead, this prompt taught me what reliquarys are.

aparantly these things are pretty valueable themselves, maybe they might be as important as the relic it holds
September 11, 2025 at 10:58 AM
#Swordtember2025 day 10: Rodent

Despite how small they are, mice and rats seem to be able to strike fear into those much larger than them.

Course something so small can still be a threat, rats can carry plagues and diseases from long distance, they can even sneak onto ships to other countries too.
September 10, 2025 at 11:41 AM
#Swordtember2025 day 9 Feline

I cant say im familiar with how notable Felines are in fantasy outside of Monster hunter.

The Felynes in monster hunter seem suprisingly versatile, from being hunting companions, Chefs and even bomb experts(?)
They were even playable in Monster Hunter: Gen Ultimate
September 9, 2025 at 2:16 PM
#Swordtember2025 day 8: Canine

A lone wolf might not seem too scary but when hunting in packs they can be pretty dangerous.

the best example i can think of is the wolves from dragons dogma, if they knock someone down they drag them away and pin them, strength in numbers i guess.
September 8, 2025 at 7:29 PM
#Swordtember2025 day 7: Clock

Time is often an extremely powerful thing in fantasy, abilities like being able to stop time can often be the most dangerous abilities in the world even if it's for 1-2 seconds

There is so much I could go on about time but there's only so much that i can fit here...
September 7, 2025 at 2:15 PM
#Swordtember day 6: Fossil

Dinosaur bones would be an extremly dangerous thing in fantasy settings if necromancy is a thing, imagine cornering one and then he just raises a T-rex from the ground underneath, scary.

Wait has that happened in any games/shows yet? I honestly cant think of anything.
