Some of my favorite "punchlines" in Archie stories are the wholesome ones.
Veronica runs to meet her other friends, who are waiting in the yard with Archie's car. Her father, Hiram Lodge, a middle-aged man with white hair, glasses, and a mustache, turns to his wife, a middle-aged woman with white hair, and says, "You know, sometimes I think we didn't do such a bad job with Veronica after all!"

First of four characters I've very loosely based on the Beatles--mostly their looks from when they were young. Their personalities are different. Only Paul is named after his counterpart. I drew him without a reference because I didn't want them to resemble their counterparts TOO closely. #ocsky
