...need to have spent a certain amount of playtime on Switch games, share usage info with Nintendo, opt into Nintendo's email to get the pre-order confirmation, "Gordon Bennett!" and I think that's all the notable stuff.

...console comes out June 5th, 2025, with a pricetag of €469.99 or €509.99 for a bundle including Mario Kart World. Preorders start April 8th, but it's pretty tricky; invite-only, need to have been a NSO member for 2 consecutive years while also still being an NSO member at the time...

The newly released Sonic X Shadow Generations has great fast-paced gameplay, taking you on an high-speed introduction to most of the notable games of the franchise as you go through 3 gameplay styles across both halves. Story-wise, however, the best is Sonic Adventure 2 as people have suggested.
